So this weekend I decided I wanted to go see Ken Griffey Jr. Play in possibly his last game. I say possible because his Chicago White Sox are fighting a battle with the Minnesota Twins for the American League Central championship. The winner will continue on into the playoffs, the loser will watch from home. I also have a friend from back home that lives in Chicago and him being a Huge Sox fan already had tickets to the game. I figured that all the travel time would be a great chance to work on my first essay due on Monday, i.e. today. Travel to the staduim on Sunday was trouble free. The game was fantastic. We sat just a few rows up in center field (where Griffey plays). Spending time with my old friends was great as well. After the game we went to a local sports bar and had a few drinks before I headed off to catch my flight.
I guess it was too much fun at the bar because I missed my first flight back home (it was over sold anyway so I wouldn't have made it on). The real bummer is that was the only flight that would make it so Spokane in time. I ended up having to take the last flight of the night to Portland and stay the night there. I then caught the first flight from Portland to Spokane this morning. Whew, I even made it in time to check up on some of my other classes and work on my rough draft before English begins.
What a weekend....

Cool beans - title leaves a bit to be desired. Hope you're not graded on creativity!
I remember the days when you thought Ken Griffey Jr. was like ... butter on toast. Then he had a domestic violence problem and you didn't like him so much. I'm surprised he's still playing ... he must be all of, what, 30 yrs old now?
Love ya
He's almost 40 and he never had a domestic violence problem? Not one that made news anyways.
Love you too!
